Louise Hendricks : Calypso Ring

Calypso is a reimagined compass rose — a poetic and luminous compass.
The medallion plays with light and skin through its openwork details, as if the wind had sculpted it. The four cardinal directions and the heart are set with zircons, serving as a guide for those in search of meaning or direction. I engraved waves to evoke the breath of the wind and the rolling of the tides. I wanted to speak about movement, intuition, and the freedom to wander in order to find one’s path — but without ever losing oneself.
